Terms of Service

1. Acceptance and Service

TaleRun is an AI-powered interactive narrative game and publishing platform. By accessing or using TaleRun, including as a guest, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 and legally able to accept these Terms. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you must have permission from a parent or guardian. You may use limited guest access or sign in with Google or a one-time email code. You are responsible for your account, email access, and activity conducted through them.

3. AI-Generated Service

TaleRun uses AI to generate and moderate content. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, similar to other output, or unsuitable for your purpose. It is provided for entertainment and is not professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing content before relying on, publishing, or sharing it. Do not submit sensitive or confidential information that is not needed for your story.

4. Energy

• Generating or playing certain content consumes energy
• Free accounts restore to 300 base energy every 24 hours and TaleRun PRO restores to 1,000 every 24 hours, for both monthly and yearly subscriptions
• Guest access has a limited lifetime allowance; unused base energy on signed-in accounts does not stack, while reward energy is retained
• Energy has no cash value and cannot be transferred or redeemed for money
• When an action is not completed successfully, we try to return reserved energy, but temporary delays may occur

5. Subscriptions and Billing

• TaleRun PRO costs US$9 per month or US$90 per year, renews automatically at the selected interval until canceled, and may include applicable taxes
• Stripe processes payments and may collect billing, device, and fraud-prevention information under its own terms
• You authorize each recurring charge shown at checkout until cancellation
• Failed or reversed payments may suspend paid benefits
• We may change prices or benefits with advance notice; changes apply no earlier than a future billing period unless you agree otherwise

6. Cancellation, Withdrawal, and Refunds

• You may cancel through the billing page before renewal. Unless stated otherwise, paid benefits continue through the current paid period
• Refund requests are reviewed individually and are not automatically approved. Approved refunds typically reach the original payment method within 5–10 business days
• Except where required by law or expressly agreed, we do not provide prorated refunds for an unused part of a billing period
• Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable cancellation, withdrawal, refund, or consumer protection right that applies where you live

7. Your Content and License

You retain any rights you have in content you submit or create. You grant TaleRun a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, translate, format, display, distribute, and moderate that content as needed to operate and improve the service. For content you publish, this license also allows TaleRun to make it available to players and promote it within or in connection with TaleRun. The license ends when content is deleted, except for reasonable backup, legal, safety, and previously completed distribution needs.

8. Publishing and Moderation

You are responsible for content you publish and must have the rights needed to share it. We may review, reject, unpublish, restrict, or remove content that violates these Terms, creates risk, or is required to be removed by law. Automated moderation can make mistakes; contact us if you believe a decision should be reconsidered.

9. Acceptable Use

You may not use TaleRun to create, upload, publish, or request content that is illegal, infringing, fraudulent, deceptive, hateful, harassing, privacy-invasive, exploitative, or intended to facilitate harm. Explicit sexual content, sexual content involving minors or unclear ages, and non-consensual sexual content are prohibited. You may not attack, scrape, overload, reverse engineer, bypass limits, or interfere with the service or another user.

10. Copyright and Reports

Respect intellectual property and personal rights. To report illegal, infringing, or unsafe content, email us with the content URL, a description of the issue, your contact information, and any supporting details. We may request additional information, notify the affected user, and take appropriate action.

11. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using TaleRun at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or limit features when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, nonpayment, serious or repeated violations, or protection of users and the service. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to contact us.

12. Service Changes and Availability

We may update, add, remove, or discontinue features. AI providers and other dependencies may be unavailable or change without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent availability of any model or content, or that every generation will complete successfully.

13. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, TaleRun is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that AI output will be unique or error-free. Mandatory warranties that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

14. Liability and Consumer Rights

To the extent permitted by law, TaleRun is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages. Our aggregate liability relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid TaleRun during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law and do not reduce mandatory consumer rights.

15. Changes, Disputes, and Contact

We may update these Terms and will provide notice when a material change affects your rights. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms where permitted by law.
